Sicut’s is delighted to announce that it has won the prestigious ‘Innovations in Materials’ award as judged by Composites UK.
Sicut’s Composite Railway Sleepers has been shortlisted for the MRW Best Recycled Product 2014, with the winner to be announced on 3rd July 2014. The National Recycling Awards are a range of prestigious awards given to leading technologies in the recycling sector.
The technology was short listed for two awards at the 2013 Sustain Awards for Technology of the Year and Waste Project of the Year.
It won the latter award against very stiff competition from multinational organisations including Coca-Cola.
Professor Tom Nosker was awarded the coveted R&D 100 Award in 2011 for the composite recycled bridge technology he invented.
The R&D 100 Award is recognised as one of the most prestigious global awards for technology, and the composite bridge design was voted as one of the top three products in 2011.
Our technology was entered into the National Recycling Awards in 2011 and 2012, and was a finalist both times in the Best Recycled Product Category. We were awarded a Highly Commended award at the 2012 ceremony.
