Professor Tom Nosker – Technology and Material Advisor
Professor Nosker is the inventor of the background technology and has a Masters Degree and PhD in Mechanics and Materials Science from Rutgers University. He has worked on plastics recycling and immiscible polymer processing and behaviour since the mid-1980s. He is the author or co-author of over 60 technical publications and holds 8 patents in the areas of polymer materials and plastics recycling including those related to this project. He is one of the leading researchers in this field globally and recipient of the coveted R&D 100 Award in 2011. Tom also provides access to the world leading capabilities of Rutgers University in New Jersey USA within their AMIPP Advanced Polymer Centre which is dedicated to exploring immiscible polymer blends and the novel structures and materials obtained by processing such blends.
Nick Pople - Investment Advisor
Nick Pople was the co-founder of Ludgate Investments, a specialist private equity investor, with a proven investment strategy focusing on growth stage companies in resource efficiency within Europe. He has extensive venture capital and private equity investment experience in the environmental sector and has advised and raised equity and debt finance for a wide range of companies both quoted and unquoted. Prior to establishing Ludgate, Nick spent eight years working within the commercial and investment banking divisions of Barclays Capital (formerly BZW) focused on project and corporate finance within the energy, transportation and infrastructure sectors.
Nick Probert is Director of LFE Limited and distributor of PRINCI-PAL composite packaging material, and has over 15 years experience within the steel shipping market. Nick has worked with Strang Systems since 2006 to patent and commercialise innovative packaging, loading concepts and new securing systems to transport steel and heavy cargo in standard shipping containers around the world. Using his extensive expertise, Nick exploited new markets for steel and other primary industries, and introduced Greenfield operations in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, Europe, USA, and Africa. Nick is a highly experienced shipping and logistics professional, and completed his Masters from Swinburne University in Entrepreneurship and Innovation in 2007, and was awarded the Lloyds DCN Australian Young Achiever award in 2009.
Rostyslava has over 10 years of experience in the railway infrastructure sector and has gained extensive knowledge and contacts throughout Europe through her previous roles with Vossloh Fastening Systems and Leonard Moll Betonwerke. Utilising her sales and account management background, Rostyslava has built an impressive network of key contacts throughout the railway infrastructure sector in Europe, and valuable understanding of the Deutsche Bahn railway sleeper acceptance process.

Andreas has worked for several telecommunication companies in Germany as team leader for workforce management and business analysis teams, controlling volumes up to 70m EUR. Using his business analysis expertise, Andreas provides analytical and documentation support required for railway infrastructure approval processes, and works with clients to accurately determine life cycle costs and project implementation calculations. Working closely with Rostyslava, Andreas has gained valuable knowledge and experience with key contacts in Germany and Eastern Europe, both in the public and private industrial railway sectors.
